i dont know about 3am..for my bhabhi, we told her to come to the hall around 4pm (she was goign to get ready in the hall)..so shirly came at the right time...and shes pretty quick too....
also xpressions does really good makeup...its comprised of these two girls (in their mid-20s)...and they are really good..i got my makeup done for my brother's mehndi from there....i like the fact that they are not those auntis and do current makeup trends....but one thing i didnt like what they are not punctual...i ended up waiting for almost 2 hours for them.....
also, my cousin is a makeup artist...she works at vasanti....shes also good...dont know how much she charges...i can alwasy ask for u....

for me, she said she is gonna get me ready within hour and that includes makeup, hairstyle and setting.. i m kinda suspecious about it.

Yeah, I think it was a sikh's wedding, otherwise 3:00 a.m. just doesn't make any sense at all.
I wonder if it is too late to get an appointment with Shirley for March. fingers crossed I'm gonna call her after the 10th, as per her voice mail message.

Just saw this site…to be honest, didn’t like most of the makeup…only the ones done on models r really nice, but the work on normal brides isn’t that impressive, it’s alrite. Not all, but some don’t even have the rite eyeshadow colour…and on one, the girls’ face is darker than her neck/chest area and arms…another, u can see dark circles under her eyes.
It’s true, in Pakistan the makeup for brides is stunning. My cousin who’s usually very simple and plain, looked absolutely gorgeous on her Barat day. But she did go to a really expensive place. I think it’s really hard to find a good Asian bridal makeup artist in America. On my engmnt., it was horrible 
my s-i-l picked the place and no one liked how i looked. I cud have done a better job on my own lol! Good luck and congrats to whoever is getting married

You’re right about pakistani brideal make-up. I was in Lhr recently and attended 4 weddings. One of my cousins got her barat day make-up done from New Look parlour in Lhr (one of THE best) They charged her Rs 10.000 (including facial 2 days before the wedding) and 2 of my other cousins went for the cheaper ‘galli walay’ parlour. The difference was soo very much visible. New Look did a real good job whereas the other brides looked very average (base too light, lips too dark etc)

u guys shoudl go to those bridal shows as well..i think suhaag has this big one in jan..dont know the exact date..my sisters and i went to the kismet show back in september..it was good experience...we met shirly there and saw her work (she was getting volunteers ready for makeup....)..we also book the dholi from there,and i got my makeup done for the mehndi from a stall i had seen at the bridal show.....

yourfriend, I was checking out the clothes at Oriental Costumes/Sonia's Collection in Mississauga over the weekend and they had 'Saba Malik's' business card there. I talked to Mehnaz, the owner of Oriental Costumes and she was really praising her work and said she would be at the bridal show on the 15th of this month if you want to check out her make up.

I got my makeup done by Shirley for my wedding reception and my walima. She does an amazing job. She listens to what you have to say and doesn't make you look like a clown. :)

I didn't like her makeup. I went and did a trial with her and I was disappointed. The makeup wasn't blended properly and it looked like I had so much makeup on...

If you look at the bridal makeup pic she has on the slide show, that girl isn't a model. I met her a couple of years ago at a family friend's house...

hey guys iam new to this forum but I really need helpppppp regarding a good makeup artist in GTA . My wedding is in coming aug and i havnt booked anyone yet.
i have seen the website of shirly, i know she is pretty famous but iam not satisfied with some of her brides, plus she is too busy.. soes anyone know any good bridal makeup artist other than kavita and shirley. well i dont know if anyone has heard of DEPLIX in canada. iam going for trial makeup today.
i really appreciate your help................

Hi GNAYAb: i am in the same boat as u r... i didnt really like shirleys work and the fact that she is so bz... i havent heard of Deplix yet but if u happend to find some info abt that please pass it on..
