I’m assuming that Islam doesn’t say anything particularly negative or positive about throwing parties the likes of which can be termed ‘bridal shower’/‘baby shower’ in the contemporary world. These are pretty common occasions these days, even among desis. I can see a cultural relevance in both a good way and a bad way re: these types of events but does Islam address these events in any way?
