Re: Breast pump

Medela - my sister swears by it. Takes her 10 or less to express her milk.

Re: Breast pump

Medela Pump in Style was great for me.

Re: Breast pump

^ that's the one I have and it works great

Re: Breast pump

I used the Avent duo and I loved it.

Re: Breast pump

Medela pump in style. Absolute best one.

Re: Breast pump

dang! These things are super expensive, I just looked up the price. Babies are expensive these days...

Re: Breast pump

Yep but it was the most useful $250 I ever spent(found a deal at target) worth every penny!

If you plan to bf n go back to work, you NEED it!

Re: Breast pump

I have Medela Pump In style too but honestly it didn't work for me at all. The suction was not enough to help me express milk. I should've just rented the hospital grade one.

Re: Breast pump

Medela Pump In style works for me!

Re: Breast pump

I used the hospital grade one and got similar results with the Pump in Style.

But the pumps don't work for everyone. Babies are definitely usually better than pumps are at getting what they need.

EDIT: but if you do think it will make a difference, why not just try for a month?

Re: Breast pump

ooh the medela pump in style seems to be winning hands down, really expensive tho :/

Re: Breast pump

Love my medela!

Re: Breast pump

zimzima.. you can wait until the baby is here.. you can even rent the hospital grade one initially and then if you like and if it works for you, you can invest in the pump. A good electric pump makes a difference!

I googled a lot of reviews for the pump before I bought Medela pump in style and it felt like pump is something you get what you pay for!

Re: Breast pump

^ i think i will do just that!

i just love looking at all the cool things u can buy :D

Does pumping hurt alot?
A recent first time mom told me she pumped(manual) n got blood n that it hurts pretty bad
Im guessng she didnt do it right:/

Re: Breast pump

no way.. pumping doesnt hurt at all!!! I had mastitis and latching on the baby was excruciating so I used to pump to relieve the engorgment!

Re: Breast pump

Let down can be painful, or at least uncomfortable. So it can hurt in that sense (but that's also with breastfeeding). The pump doesn't even touch your nipples. It's weird. But it's not painful.

Re: Breast pump

Like GTG & Sahar said, pumping does not hurt! Can be a little awkward in the beginning, but does not hurt....

Re: Breast pump

babiesrus has the medela pump in style on sale...i think its close to $250USD.
