thankx for taking intrest in PAK politics, this best things is to GOOGLE IT.
Well googleing it is a option, but I prefer to have these kind of information direct from the ppls who are already in touch with ground realities. This way u can get a glimpse of both side of the coin. Thanks anyways for ur response.
So apart from one or two, none of the die hard or even the closet MQM supporters cared to comment on this. This is dictatorship at its best, i.e. the threats that anyone who dare talk to saleem shahzad or establish contact him would be axed from the party (which by the way is as good as getting gunned down by some MQM commando). Its pretty simple how this absurd taaalibooon-ization' bakwas is merely an artificial scenario created to curb the pakhtun population of KArachi. Down with ethnic MQM terrorism.

Thank you for your interest. The MQM is a terrorist organization created by Zia to counter the power of the PPP back in the 80s. The leader of the party, an ex-cab driver from Chicago is a convicted murderer and fled the country in 1992 and runs the party like his personal mafia from abroad. The MQM engaged the Pakistan army in the mid nineties, though a hero called General Babur managed to break their back to some extent. They ally themselves with pretty much whoever is in power, yet claiming they stand against fuedalism (biggest joke ever). They have sponsored alot of ethnic based terrorism and envisioned the state of Jinnahpur which never came into existence thanks to Babur. They enjoyed some stints into power by selling out to the dictator Musharraf recently but in the end showed their true colors by playing a khoon ki holi on may 12th 2007 when they attacked innocent civilian protesters standing up for the restoration of a free judiciary in Pakistan. They collect bhatta (extortion money) and force people to vote for them in Karachi as well. Right now they are allied, ofcourse, with the ruling party and are trying to instigate an ethnic war against the Pakhtuns of Karachi in the guise of Talibanization.

Thanks for the information. I too remember a friend of mine migrating to Pakistan, on his return he used to boast about being a member of MQM, and how much power he has gained after migrating. This is in mid or early eighties.
Thats impossible because he was the reason Amir and Afaq abondoned AH.
In politics you never know, 'enemy of enemy is a friend'. If he goes and joins Amir and Afaq we may see a new blood bath on streets of Karachi (Haqiqi vs Muttahida), lets hope and pray for the best of city.
laanat ho MQM par, altaf salim etc par, iss k sare membars par aur iss k sare supportors par...
in logo ko bohaira arab may painkna chahiye.
Aayyyaayyee..... See that was the attitude of people who forced the creation of MQM and the support from the beautiful people of Khi and Hyd.
That made me recall the similar words from people like "Ghulam Sarwar Awan" and Co. during the early phase of MQM that acted like a "Jalti pe tel" but now after so many years, people still dont realize that.
