very smart question…i was abt to ask this

you think Nawaz govt is so dumb to ask courts to issue warrant to arrest imran at this point? this step will give Imran more political mileage .. so why would govt do it?

and our courts are pretty independent … didnt the same court refuse to entertain govt’s request to postpone elections in hashmi halqa just few weeks ago?

this is 200% court’s independent decision…if anything it will help Imran khan at least politically

Actually, the arrest warrant is usually issued on request of a prosecuting attorney (prosecutor) who usually represents the state (govt). He or she can ask the presiding judge to withdraw the warrant or ask for delay.
