There was an accident during take-off of a plane at Dubai airport this morning. Because of that, they decided to shut down the whole airport for 8 hours. I know how busy Dubai airport usually is, so this will definitely create huge delays all over the world. Here’s the press release from Dubai airport:

A total of 27 passengers sustained minor injuries which were attended to immediately by the emergency medical team at the airport. Only one injured passenger was taken to Trauma Centre at Rashid Hospital, and was discharged by afternoon.
The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and DCA are investigating the cause of the accident.
