Re: Breaking News | DSP SITE shot dead in Karachi

We send our deepest condolences to the (DSP) Majeed Abbasi’s family and friends. At the same time we take our hat off to all the brave security officials who are working hard to counter terrorism. These acts of terror aim to spread fear and panic among the general public. The terrorists are attempting to stamp their authority by targeting security officials. Unfortunately, this is not the first time a senior police officer was killed in an act of terror. U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry during his visit to Pakistan earlier this year also expressed appreciation for the sacrifices of Pakistan’s military personnel and civilians in the fight against terrorism and extremism and commended Pakistan’s resolve and the steps being taken to tackle terrorism in a comprehensive and robust manner.

It goes without saying that the need of the hour is to remain united against the enemies of peace, and we fully support the government of Pakistan in its mission to restore peace in the country.
