ICC should play a neutral role. Malcolm Speed and the president of ICC do not need to defend Hair and see his demand of 500K in 'sympathetic light'. So what if an employee turned out to be a bad apple. At least show some credibility and potray ICC as a neutral body.

He has not been charged for anything yet....ICC is still playing their cards & most probably would keep on supporting him...He can easily come out as a "Martyr" here & that is what we don't want...The foremost thing for Pakistani team right now is that they are proven not guilty(especially Inzamam) & the test is voided.

PCB sud take this guy to court and sue him for his $500,000.
As for ICC, they have to defend their umpires for future matches. Darryl Hair has damaged the sanctity of cricket umpires, smeared their integrity, incurred huge losses for English cricket, incited racial abuse, destroyed a fine game. Case against Darryl Hair is very strong, Pcb sud drag him into court and make the world a better place for cricket.

i think speed should resign for saying that he has sympathy for Hair,speed and the icc have been supporting hair for the last 10 years inspite of his reputation among the asians and that incident with murali.The problems in the icc just don't start and end with hair, they are far reaching.There is obviously a double standard in the way icc treats white people vs asians,i can't recall too many Australian players getting banned for anything in the 6 or 8 years eventhough Australians are the most abusive, most argumentative players on the field.I can recal that Aamir Sohail once got banned in Australia for questioning the umpire when he was given out on a ball which was clearly above waist and a no-ball.Compare that to how Mcgrath abused Sarwan and no action was taken and more recently this year we had an incident involving Australian players warne,gilchrist,ponting with Asaf Rauf in a test match against south africa where Australian players argued with Asad Rauf over and over again and even insulted him as if he was an illiterate and not one Australian player got banned.
