Its been less than 2 years since Air Blue crash... It was the first flight from Karachi-Islamabad of Bhoja Airline and they started flight service on this route just today.

One report says the plane is more than 27 year old. When will the authorities in Pakistan stop giving clearance to airlines to not to operate such old planes? Bad weather might just be an excuse but the real reason should be declared and strict action should be taken....

**the age of the aircraft isn't that big of a factor in the crash of an airliner, it's rather the maintenance of the aircraft...how well they have been maintained is the key. Boeing 737 is the work-horse of the aviation industry and it's one of the most reliable aircraft ever built. there are planes over 30 years old still in service.

there can be one or more of the following reasons:

1. Human Error
2. weather
3. mechanical
4. terrorism
5. external object striking the aircraft

let's hope there will be a thorough investigation and it will be made public and the people responsible for the accident will be punished, inshaa Allah**

the ill-fated airplane, a Boeing 737-100, plane is one of the two acquired from Air Blue which were grounded because they were unfit to fly.

Highly doubt the authenticity of this news. Why would a newly restarted airline after years of bad business would actually buy an aircraft that was unfit to fly!?

the news doesn't say it was 'unfit' to fly...it just tells you that it was the same aircraft that was owned by Shaheen Airlines which was grounded because they were mechanically unfit to fly...this plane must have undergone some repair to make it airworthy...now, the investigators will be looking closely into the 'Maintenance log' and find out exactly how it was repaired and how it was re-certified to fly.

News coming through that the plane was struck by lightining and it fell on houses and approximately 40 houses has been affected. More to follow.

Rahman Malik trying to cover up the matter as usual, how has he come to the conclusion that it could be lightning although no investigation has been carried out yet. Maybe hiding something as to how the clearance was given to the airline when they had purchased previously grounded planes (as per reports from multiple sources).

There can be other reasons for the crash. But this plane was grounded by Shaheen and bought by Bhoja Air... This model is banned to be used by countries in Europe, US and Middle East....

How can Civil Aviation give clearance to such aircrafts? It is also reported that the pilot was also a retired pilot. A retired pilot doesn't mean he was unfit to fly and its still not something very acceptable.

i don't think so...Boeing 737-400 is still very much used all over the world including the US, Europe, Canada...

I think this plane was 737-200. Dunya News is saying that the Instrument Landing System of the plane was also faulty.

I think this plane was 737-300

as per Waqt-News and the aviation expert that was on the news, it was a 400 series aircraft...you may be right because all the info coming in at the moment are a bit sketchy.
