those who don't think BB/PPP is capable of masterminding this attack...either you live in a cave like those so-called backward jihadis or are quwain ke maindak. with such a huge political party, hundred of thousands of members and supporters, you don't think its not possible to get even 2 ppl to carry out these attacks for them? BB surely will be hailed as a HERO in the days to come. wht a miracellous escape for her. politicial parties too thrive on ideology just like any other group and don't tell me there are no NUTJOBS in their party who are willing to kill/get kill for the sake of their leader, party and ideology so religious barinwashing is not the only thing thats in these days. political brainwashing is in just as much.
And when is the last time the PPP ever used a suicide bomber? When was the last time someone volunteered to die for the PPP?

More to the point, when 2 Taliban commanders have threatened Benazir with bomb attacks in the past 2 weeks.... why would it not be surprising if the Taliban were to try and bomb her?

i agree with saieen. the only person to benefit from this sad event is BB. if she was the intended target, a sniper would have been enough.
Pakistan's religious miltants have never been known to use snipers to attack civilians. On the other hand, they have repeatedly used bombs and suicide bombs.
Snipers take a lot of effort to train. Suicide bombers don't.
At any rate, with the head identified, the perpetrator will soon be identified I'm sure.
I'm willing to bet there will be no connection between him and the PPP.

I have full sympathy for all the people who were injured or off course lost their lives as shaheed. May Allah give reward and un countable reward to people who were hurt or killed.
I smell conspiracy against Pakistan, Karachi, Muslims.
Who would be the conspirator...........................I see India RAW Agents active against Pakistan as whole.
On the other side................these rallys are to be stopped and 'leaders' should come quietly and make specific statements to stop people starting 'rallys'. I consider these rallys like animals like sheeps and cows or bulls running together.
Human being with some brain should never ever go to these stupid acts of 'rallys'.
I pray for all of those who were injured and specially who lost their lives.

Its about time we started shellling and bombing these *******s... Fear of suicide boimbings might have prevented an all out war, but the fact is that whether we like it or not these A holes are going to commit such crimes whether we attack them or not...

times have changed...when was the last time BB had to go through all this to make a political come back into pak politics? she is making a come back and wht a perfect time to have a few fireworks...we all know PPP have killed people in the past...what can stop them from not killing this time? as far suicide bombing...you go with the trend...it wasn't in back then but is in now. so for them to use it for their own benefit is not out of question.

no investigation & no technology can prove anything in a couple of hrs.
Right after the blast, we started hearing about suicidal attacks.
In 80s & 90s we used to blame India or MQM for everything - without even any investigation. yes they were involved but not in everything. were they.
Now we have changed the words to Suicidal Attacks. How smart.

still too many unanswered questions. as to why did bb ask for protection for her motorcade? was she expecting something? and who the heck was the intended target? clearly it wasnt any senior official? those suckers always seem to survive, not just this one but any political event. infact the last 'successfull' bombing would have been the religous gathering at nishtar park where surprisingly not a single mma (read political) henchman showed up. whats up with that?

well Saieen has raised a very good point i.e. BB mentioned a couple of days ago that she received some news about these kinda attacks. Then why did she ask for a huge crowd.

I think u should get a little more read in recent years' protocols. All high profile people need protocol. You ever heard of assasins? I usually don't agree with M2k but there's no question regarding her getting protection.

assasins dont go about blowing ppl up and miss their target entirely. even the ismaili assasins went for maximum carnage, but only AFTER getting their main victim.

so she needed protection while knowingly putting the lives of thousands at risk. bravo!!!...a gr8 leader indeed...when she was laundering awam's money, giving 10% to her Mr 10% and ordering political killings and executions, she had the same pain and feel for the awam. now she is back with that same feeling and pain and a sample is now available for all to see and admire. such a GR8 leader.
