That was 1988. A huge difference is, she was** a democratically elected** 2 time prime minister. She did carry a huge following in all parts of the country.

Guys I heard that Nawaz Sharif's convoy or it may be just his party convoy was attacked near Karal Chowk (airport chowk) today and seven people died in firing, any confirmation on this news?

CNN reporter in Pakistan reporting that all journalists have been asked to reach safe harbor and leave the area since major riots starting up...angry mob rampaging through many areas (he said 'all areas' but I don't think so)

situation is akin to that in india after rajiv gandhi's assassination. rajiv was also killed during an election campaign. also couple of days ago assassins nearly got to sherpao. its the forces behind lal masjid responsible for suicide
bombings in pak. ultimately we have a choice. either they get us or we get them. no other way out for us.

I remember an interview years ago where she was asked if she would encourage her son to be a politican, she just said " my father was killed in this line as were my brothers". Little we all knew that she would be killed as well

I read he was killed by somebody from Srilanka which is very different from this suicide bombing within Pakistan

situation is no different. tamil suicide bomners had help from indian tamils. in pak, locals are waging a war on behalf of degenerate arabs like obl.

there is no domestic conflict in pak, rather it is a very narrow group of people trying to take over pak by spreading chaos. same strategy was used by arab terrorists in afghanistan and iraq. too bad pakistanis are too dumb to recognise their real enemies.
