Its not that hard to kill people using guns, and furthermore, after the shooting, there was a small blast, not as powerful as the Karachi one.

Politicians should not be isolated from the people. Nor should they let terrorists intimidate them.
Despite my immense dislike of Benzir for her policies and actions, I have to respect the example that she laid down, ultimately with her life, that no politician in a democracy should ever change their actions because of the threat of force.
Benazir refused to let the terrorist threats against her get between her and her people. She deserves to be applauded for that, and I hope Pakistan's other politicians share this courage.
Democracy must never cave in to the threat of force.

Don't know who is saying that bomb blast didn't take place... It is all over the news that there was a bomb blast along with the shooting and most probably by the same person. Nothing happened to her land cruiser because it was bullet/bomb proof. She was weaving the people, standing in the sun roof when the gun shots hit her he head and neck. The person blew himself right after the shooting.

Geo had an animation showing that the person who shot her was pretty close to the car and they even showed his gun on the ground where he blew himself after shooting.
