It is a very sad day not only for Pakistan but also for the rest of South Asia.
Whatever people might say about her, she was a brave leader who went through a lot in her life. She had the courage to stand upto Zia at a very young age.
I remember her interview when Zia was killed. The interviewer asked her a pointed question on what her thoughts were when she heard that Zia had been killed. She replied that at that point in time her thoughts were what would be the future of Pakistan.
It is the same now. Now it is the time to think about Pakistan first and foremost.
The leaders should introspect and understand the monster that they have nurtured all these years. It is high time that the leaders of like minded parties joined together and make Pakistan a better place..

I pray that all of us can put aside our 'political grievances' against Musharraf, XYZ, and ABC, and calm down and act rationally for the sake of Pakistan.
You did start the finger pointing and called for a swift snappy retribution against XYZ. Alright, perhaps the discussion should be reserved for another thread.

Another sad thing is that this happened in Rawalpindi, where another famous leader was assasinated, Liaqat Ali Khan.

remember how ahmed shah massood was eliminated?
couple of days before 9/11, two AQ workers posing as jounalist met ahmed shah masood for an interview. as soon as masood came to greet them, AQ kaarkun did their thing. two days later twin towers fell.
reason i am recounting this kahani is to point out that AQ leadership is much smarter than people give them credit.

according to a couple of people here, you must be lying because there was no bomb blast. bb was only killed by gun shot wounds.

^again, there is no question of radicals making a mess out of our country, this one is a very different story. Trust me. Bomb blasts dont make single assassinations possible. Especially when you surrounded by many others in a bullet proof car and yet only one dies from a bullet.

according to BBC the gunmen and the bomber were the same guy. He first fired shots and than blew himself up.
