The details may be hidden but the incident itself is already on Cricinfo. PCB will try to downplay it as usual, but in my opinion, no damage control measures need to take place.... the world expects this kind of news coming out of the Pakistan every now and then... so this is nothing out of the ordinary.

Shoaib by default is the bad boy of Pakistan cricket. Every time news come out of his altercation with someone by defauly everyone assumes Shoaib was at fault. There are many times when he wasnt at fault and it was proven later on but his reputation has been tarnished. A very true saying saying in Urdu
"Bud sey budnaam bura"
Inzamam accused him of faking injury, all Pakistani supporters hated him for faking injury yet it was proved later on he had a genuine injury.
H was fined just before leaving for the T-20 cup for leaving the camp, people blamed him. While he maintained not only did he inform the captain Shoaib Malik but also he was never notified of the hearing of his case. It was later on proven that Shoaib was not notified of the hearing and thats the reason he did not attended not because he a chip on his shoulder.
I am not defending Akhtar in this case netiher am I saying Asif should be blamed for the altercation but before assigning the blame to Shoaib, maybe for once we can wait for the whole story to unfold instead of just assuming that Shoaib has to be at fault.

*Innocent till proven guilty. Why do you guys forget that when it comes to Akhtar? Asif is no saint either (he did get caught along with Akhtar last year, remember?). Hold your horses and let’s see what the players and management have to say tomorrow.
