breakfast

Need ideas for breakfast.
Hubby likes. Desi lahore chaska like paye, naan chanay, etc.
And dont like much eng food special egg. Ab paye aur chany r far from house and i am giving egg daily.
But nw need new ideas to make delicious…

try this: knead the dough with salt, red chilly powder, corriander, green chillies, green onions finely chopped. Make parathay of this dough and have with raita or even plain yoghourt. we make them usually for breakfast and they taste great.

there is also these haray masalay waley alu one can enjoy in breakfast. make talay huey alu with the spices of your choice. Add ground corriandar, green garlic and green chillies paste to it. let it steam for a few minutes and its ready.

The above all could be tasty but I wouldnt say its that healthy too. Parathay and all are not that good for health as the fats and calories take their toll on your health at the end of the day. Make your husband aware of the importance of the nutritive value of the food also and not the taste of it only. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day as we start our day with it and it should be high in nutrition.

Thanx and yah ringht dear mirage. But he has a allergy from egg. He never take egg for long time. As he has to take nw. I make omelete with vege like chopped onion and corriander,.sometime fry,. He hS stomach prob, gas prob , so all way i am giving egg. Nw thinkng to give new. Try this raita and paratha soon

There is nothing wrong with desi chaska for breakfast. Remember breakfast is the most important meal of the day. If he burns it all out during the day , he can eat for breakfast whatever he fancies.

lol. thats why I suggested things other than egg made. You could try mix sabzi ki bujya too, for breakfast.
On a serious note though, no look at this bold part; this is what I tried to talk about too, in my previous post. Bring him on to healthy eating gradually. Chaskay are good but on the weekends only. Not at the expense of your health.

If he is allergic to eggs then you should not be making eggs for him.

I disagree that there is nothing wrong with any type of food as long as the individual eating it burns it out. The composition makes a huge difference in terms of the impact of salt, cholesterol, saturated fats, etc. It's more than a calories in and calories out issue but composition of calories, how human body reacts to it, processes it etc etc

As they say you are what you eat. have balanced meals and indulge when you need to.

Dosa is the great option too. It's made from yogurt, salt and Semolina (Sooji) it's kind of Indian/desi pan cake. it's usually served with the sauce I can post the recipe if you wish

Give him a break on weekends with Aloo bhurta, Choley salan or perhaps left over Nihari. I m sure he will be fine with it. You can also make more exotic egg omelets like Khogina (or Khagina)

No sane person can eat payee, nihari etc 7 days a week in breakfast.

The recipe I know does not include Rice flour in it.

dosa is usually made of fermented rice and urad dal batter. but you can make some kinds with sooji. nowhere near the same in taste or texture though..

amaya doesn't want any egg type of thing so I just mentioned this and trust me it's delicious

Please post recipe for sauce/chutney. I love having at south Indian restaurants with all the great chutneys.

Why not make him fruit smoothies with various fruits, almonds, and honey?

Idli is healthy also. It's a south Indian dish. Shami kabab with any type of breads.

Oatmeal. Try various cereals....

offcourse chiker cholay also a best one. but main prob is nw we r far from commercial area. and in the early morning hv to go out to get all this. so thinking any thing that i can make at home for him. excpt egg. me also cant eat daily due to acne prob.
Giving strawberry shake daily. nw thinkng jam and slice for myself. but for him , make some kabab or nuggets, or wt else that i can give.
dosa u say may be he dont like, caz this is not looking his taste, anyother ideas.
