Any idea for a good semi desi weekend breakfast? Look, taste and prep time should be realistic :o

Yesterday, I had besan wala paratha, it was yummy.
What about halva puri, desis love this.

some aunty brought it to my mom and my mom gave it to me. I had it with home made achar.
I think there was green methi and some masalas in it.
Maybe u can do a search.
I also want to know.
btw when is your breakfast? I’ll ask ammi, if she know.

^Tomorrow, haven't had a weekend since jan, will be busy till end April, so Ammi ko maska marna tha :o

Besan kay parathay: Add chopped piyaaz, chopped methi, dhanya, kuta hua anar dana, namak mirch, zeera etc and any other spices you deem fit to besan and atta. Adjust quantities of besan and flour to your liking but it is usually 2.5 or 3:1. Besan should obviously be in larger quantity. Knead all this with some a few spoons of yogurt, baking soda, oil and water.

You can either roll into parathas and shallow fry OR make besan kay naans with these. We made them recently and they were a hit! Roll the naan out just a bit thicker than a paratha. Heat on one side on a hot tawa and prick with a fork. Meanwhile heat your over to broil. WHen the bottom side of the naan is done, smear with a mix of yogurt and oil and put it on broil. Keep watching it to make sure it doesnt get burnt. Our naans were very soft and yummy!!!!!

  1. Omlette with lots of onion and tomatoes and corriander leaves with bread slices with a layer of butter on and a layer of jam or honey :yummy:

  4. ohhh and NIHARI… HYDERABAD mein INSAAF resturant ki NIHARI with garam garam roti yummmm :yummy:

I like to eat at morning Pharata with chay thats so Yummie :yummy:

Chai paratha is the Best!!! And ready made frozen parathas are so light and really tasty

Methi kay Parathay - I make them pretty much the same way.

Sabah, try this -

You’ll need 1 packet of bread - torn into small pieces
Aloo cut into small pieces

Fry pyaaz, adrak, zeera and hari mirch, add aloo and fry, sprinkle dhaniya powder, namak. Add chopped tomatoes. When the tomatoes are almost cooked, add the bread pieces. Stir well, cover and cook for like 5 minutes, I like my bread crispy so I take off the cover and leave it on longer - but be careful not to burn it! Garnish with lots of green dhaniya and a little lemon juice (to taste).
