If I do a dawat like this at home, I definitely make sure that at least one item is catered. I just dont tell them which one. I am not Chicken Biryani where I can produce a gorgeous qorma or haleeeeeeeeeeeeem in an hour.
Is there a secret of yours you’re not telling us? CB ki bachi, batao…
Reha, Sheynie and Hadeel bata bata ki thak gayi bi mai … ab kaan khol ki sunooo
Pop the lentils and meat together in the pressure cooker … that halves your time altogether coz you wont have to do it one after the other… ( takes about 20 -30 minutes ) … Meanwhile in a separate Pot, start preparing the basic masala and as soon as the meat and the lentils get done , pop them in the masala .. add some water , cover the pot , medium heat and let it all cook while you do other stuff …
I have invited them from 9 or 10 .... 9am is the best though, coz it caters to both early birds and those who like to wake up a bit late ...
But you will also have to consider how much time you will take to prepare the food before the guests arrive ... hence if you can manage in two hours , 9am is good .... but if you need more time to prepare food , then 10am is the best option ...
