Breakfast dawat anyone???

Re: Breakfast dawat anyone???

If I do a dawat like this at home, I definitely make sure that at least one item is catered. I just dont tell them which one. :cb: I am not Chicken Biryani where I can produce a gorgeous qorma or haleeeeeeeeeeeeem in an hour.

Is there a secret of yours you’re not telling us? CB ki bachi, batao…:asa:

Re: Breakfast dawat anyone???

**CB has a Genie in a Bottle that she isn’t tellling us about I bet :pcg:

I sooooo wannaaaa attend a breakfast dawat now that you guys are talking about it :(**

Re: Breakfast dawat anyone???

Yeah I want to know the secret to make Haleem in one hour too!!!

Or else CB you need to invite all of us at your place for a dawat so that we can see how its done :sid:

Re: Breakfast dawat anyone???

^^ I like the second idea better Hadeel :D

Re: Breakfast dawat anyone???

Reha, Sheynie and Hadeel :smilestar: bata bata ki thak gayi bi mai … ab kaan khol ki sunooo :sahar02:

Pop the lentils and meat together in the pressure cooker … that halves your time altogether coz you wont have to do it one after the other… ( takes about 20 -30 minutes ) … Meanwhile in a separate Pot, start preparing the basic masala and as soon as the meat and the lentils get done , pop them in the masala .. add some water , cover the pot , medium heat and let it all cook while you do other stuff …

Dont forget to stir it all baar baar :@:

Challoo sabaaash lag jaao saray kaam per :hugz:

Re: Breakfast dawat anyone???

I once invited my friend around for brekkie I also invited my elderly neighbour the same time.
Breakfast menu was:

Veggie cheese fritata
beans
toast

Homemade blueberry pancakes with maply syrup
tea
juices

So what time would invite people over for breakfast

Re: Breakfast dawat anyone???

I have invited them from 9 or 10 .... 9am is the best though, coz it caters to both early birds and those who like to wake up a bit late ...

But you will also have to consider how much time you will take to prepare the food before the guests arrive ... hence if you can manage in two hours , 9am is good .... but if you need more time to prepare food , then 10am is the best option ...

Re: Breakfast dawat anyone???

Thanks CB. I may do a 'breakfast dawat' as my next dawat - just need to decide on the menu now...

Re: Breakfast dawat anyone???

Ive actually attended a nashta dawat at night too...it was really nice because I was getting tired of eating biryani and all that.
