Breakdown and Sickness of Our Society

The recent Sialkot incident has shook us all, it should make us look into our society, its trends, mentality of our people. Few reflections

1-This is not the first time this has happened. People killed in karachi during 90s were killed in pretty much the same way, tortured to death in torture cells. I know a person whose relative was abducted in Karachi, tortured and left to die on roadside, virtually everybone of his was broken. Yet many continue to support the perpetrators without any hesitation.

2- Police behavior itself is one reason of this incident. Few years earlier, the region was full of criminal activity. Police captured and killed many of them and this was praised by people and in many newspaper columns. They must have seen this as another oppurtunity to score points.

3- Beaurocracy never lets its own get punished for their crimes. So does everyone related to criminals. From the news report i read that a doctor of emergency services who is part of investigation team, tried to protect the rescue 1122 staff involved and when the other doctor in the committee objected, he broke his nose.

4- Then come the vulture. Preying on the grief of people. Every two bit politician has paid a visit to the family, each and every authority has taken notice of the incident, LHC, SC, CM, PM, Govrnor, President.

5- Then come other type of vultures the media and the psuedointelectuals pigheads. Just look at this interview of Shahid Stupid Masood http://www.friendskorner.com/forum/f137/video-sialkot-incident-two-brothers-family-dr-shahid-masood-22nd-august-2010-a-197915/. He is asking the uncle of killed boys, in the presence of their mother.

ye marney key baad unko ulta latka diya gya, ue kiya tha.

If thats the question you ask the grieving family, lanat hai tum per.

Re: Breakdown and Sickness of Our Society

I don't know if the 2 boys got killed by mobs were criminals or not... but what i do know is that people of Pakistan have lost their patience...

in a country where the political elite spend summer in their palaces of Europe while masses of the country cannot afford build their own hut, in a country where bureaucracy is praised and if any govt. official is considered saint when he try to do his duty, where criminals are wealthy and strong enough to rule, where a common man struggles to get the bread and butter on the table, where a middle-class person is forced to poison his children and political leadership says that the person was psychological ill.... where the common man sees no future for him and his family, where police only protect criminals and powerful... in these circumstances, people of any country will get sick, Pakistanies are no different they are human, they have seen criminals being praised and pardoned and innocents being punished, they do not trust govt and any of its institution, so they think its only them who can fix it... and they fix it by burning any one who is labeled as criminal.. they do not investigate.. they just issue the punishment...

we as nation has entered in this stage... where the trust on any govt. official and statement has lost... i've been saying this for long.. and if things continue as they are, then the same mob may attack politicians and beat them and their family to death...

Not that i am fan of this attitude but being a common Pakistani, suffering everyday, watching people dying and attending funerals on daily basis, sometime twice in a day... and then seeing that govt. is doing almost nothing on any issue... i am getting little crazy everyday.....

Yet another attempt to divert this topic towards Karachi by putting it a the top.
