I had a severe breakout with waxing, what should I do?

Were they small burns or boils? I used some neosporin when it happened. Wait till the next day and its gone.
I hate waxing. I know its cheaper to do it yourself, but I've started shelling out some dough and going to experts.

actually i got it done from saloon and it is more like acene and it is on my upper back.

I get those bumps thing for few hours but afterwards they are fine… give it 24 hours..
it cant be acne??

you may be allergic to some of the products used in wax or to clean skin before or after....as you did it in a saloon, it's serious you should be carefull about it.
wait few days and see how it goes...if it's too serious go to your dermatologist.

Its quite common
Simple solution is dont wax.

Yeah but only its just the skin is dark in areas where the rash is and it stays darker doesnt go back to being normal

thank God nothing happened to me after i waxed 2 days ago !!
i think using crotaid mite help with ur condition but if it doenst go away get it checkeddd

U should have applied ice on it as soon as u came back from the saloon. I dont know whether it would have any affect now.U indeed have a sensitive skin and its not ur fault that u got um. They should have tested a small area on ur back first. Anyway its their responsibility if u got acne on ur back. Go back to them and show it to them. (They would have to treat ur back, or otherwise could be sued) My sis got it once and they then treated hers through a tube which made it extremely better.

Next time ice the area and apply an astringent immediately after waxing. That makes a big difference.
You can still use the astringent and Neosporin now, to make the acne disappear faster.

Use Australian Tea Tree lotion for the area. I have had that problem too. and it helped a lot with that lotion.

^or tea tree body mask, that works too. you should've applied ice on it right after the waxing. it should go away own though.

wow I have exactly same problem. I wax my legs and arms but never get any pimple on there. BUt on my shoulders I have pacthes of acne and pimples....ya lot of scars now :9

Hmm i used to get red and itchy on my face after i got it waxed but it was okay after a while.. i havnt waxed in years though (thread for face, razr for bodY)

LB, I got some dark patches on leg and arm because I didn't pull it properly but they went away like after couple days.
I have heard that tea tree lotions and masks are good for acene, I am gonna try that. (thanks!)
I think i'll try astrigent or neosporin, which one is best or most effective, and are they available on the counter?
Could the type of wax be a factor for such an outbreak?
Niyal, I don't think that I can wax my back by myself, it is kind of difficult to do ;-)
