i bought a loaf of italian bread last night… it was soft then, and it’s all hard this morning 
it was in a paper bag and closed properly.
how do u keep bread soft?
what do i do with this hard as stone bread, other than use it as a weapon?

use it in a bread pudding or make french toast out of it, hopefully all that soaking will soften it. dry it up further and turn it in to croutons :D if any of the above work lemme know so i can make better use of my hard italian bread in future too :D

make cheeze bread,,put some moz cheeze and bake,,and next time just put it in a plastic bag with its orignal wraper..plastic bag matlab shoppingbag na,,

was the bag open? if you keep the bag tightly sealed it’ll stay softer for longer, or try a ziplog bag.
ok i know this sounds weird but my nieghbour keeps a piece of clean celery in the bag of bread cause the celery will provide some moisture, but not for more then a couple of days.
if it all fails make croutons…or bread crumbs
