Ahmed Abdali was a prisoner jailed by rival Ghalzais in Kandahar. When Nadir Shah Afshar (Qazalabash) of Persia defeated the Ghalzais and Abdalis in and around Kandahar he freed the boy Ahmed Abdali. Ahmed Abdali became one of the personal body guards of Nadir Shah Afshar.
Nadir Shah used to make his personal body guards wear pearl earings. That is where the “Durrani” came from. After Nadir Shah Afshar was assassinated by his fellow Turkomans, Ahmed Abdali became Ahmed Shah durrani.
The Brohi Kambarani dynasty of Kalat are older than both Ahmed Abdali and his Master Nadir Shah Afshar Qazalabash. The Brohi Khans of Kalat remained in power even after the house of Abdali fell in 1826. They pledged allegiance to both Nadir Shah and Ahmed Abdali and before that to the Mughals as well.
Both Nadir Shah and Ahmed Abdali recognized the Brohi Khans of Kalat as rulers of Balochistan. Brohis of Kalat ruled as a princely state until the merger with Pakistan.
The Baloch areas merged with Pakistan before the ruler of Kalat agreed.
