It depends on who invented them...if it was a man, you know it was made to be a sex toy.
The brazierre was derived from corsets. And yes it was a man who conformed the collective women into an hour glass figure.
There is no other reason for them besides support and according to females are deemed uncomfortable to wear.
Would any of you guys be comfortable wearing wires around your upper body? I mean they've recently come out with a manzierre for men that support them but thats for grampy ol' men. Regardless, no one likes to wear 'em its just for support whether brazierre or manzierre.

Any ways yes it does effect if you do not wear a well fit bra, chances are they will be hit by gravity if they are big, if not then hell why does she even need a bra!
A bra at puberty can really help shape the breasts. For example an under-wire bras if used will help suport them and keep them forward otherwise they start to go into weird directions. TRUST ME I KNOW FROM EXPERIENCE
