From what I saw on one group on Facebook, or was $135 for stitched 3-piece khaadi or ss suit. This doesn't include the shipping cost which is obviously paid by customer.
This maybe the norm but I don't find it fair at all. Khaadi suits even with heavy embroidery cost around Rs. 6500-7000. Plus another Rs. 1000 for stitching.
Facebook designers overcharge imho.

Wow that's pricey. Almost as much as chiffon suit

How long does Sanullah take to deliver from time of order? How much are delivery charges?
In some cases the Branded lawn suits do cost more than chiffon. The problem we have living abroad is we predominantly only have access to the designer stuff as its readily available and you get to see the catalogue and therefore know exactly wot youre getting. You also have to factor in the vendor cost. A good vendor will provide you with a complete breakdown of all costs. On my recent pak trip I found there were so many other options available in the shops and didn't cost an arm and a leg but sitting so far away unfortunately our choice is limited

I totally agree. I think the branded stuff is quite expensive. I do love lawn and there is a craze going on everywhere to grab the hottest prints to keep cool. However I have found that even to order from pakistan..the least expensive option is around $125 to $130 - not inclusive of shipping costs. Thats pretty steep. YOu could probably get many chiffon suits for less.
The vendors don't really won't to deal with last years stuff and stitching cost is same regardless. The vendor I deal with - requires 5 suits for free shipping. I think what am i going to do with 5 lawn suits (which will cost be upward of $600). NOw its become a status symbol that this is Sana Safinaz...Zunuj..etc. Even on Sanuallah shipping is super expensive and then you have to factor the credit card charges. The best possible option is really to shop when you go to pakistan. Feeling frustrated right now. Wish I could order with someone else to cut down on shipping charges. Anyone care to join me?
Re: branded lawn prices for stitched suits
Stitching cost is no less than 2400PKR through FB vendors... in fact can go up to 4000. Add fabric cost to that, average is 5000 for a suit ? Looking at those numbers a stitched designer lawn suit can cost around 8000-9000, plus shipping on top.

Sajalina do you think it's worth the cost? Where do you get your lawn suits from?
Re: branded lawn prices for stitched suits
twinklestar - what vendor do you use? could you get it shipped to a relatives address in pakistan and if u know someone flying back ask them to take it in their luggage (if its not too heavy)? shipping charges are such a pain :(

hi check my page
Re: branded lawn prices for stitched suits
The vendors on fb or the designers themselves take quite a lot for stitching as compared to what we give to normal tailors.
There might be difference in stitching but frankly speaking I never done my lawn suits stitched from them. I mostly shop from khaadi (un stitched) but I have also got long shirts stitched from them (pret) and I couldn't find any remarkable difference, even the fitting was the same as my tailor does.
Normal regular tailors take much less than them and it's quite affordable. My tailor takes 600 pkr for normal simple designer suit and it increases as if some embroidered patch has to be attached with embroidery machine and not with normal sewing machine. 1000-1200 pkr depending upon kaam. (Those are the one which suits themselves are also of 5500 pkr and above).
