^ Surely it doesen't. I was talking about the dispaly of missiles not the kids. The greatest weapon of kids is education.

Tying bombs around one's waist and blowing up is suicide and haram in Islam.
Tell me if i'm wrong but do you mean that kids/bomb/suicide is haram - or defending your land which is muslim while using such methods is haram?

What do you propose as a solution to the problem of on the one hand "extremist" views of public opinion, "govt" tv stations and the actual govt.
And the fact that Pakistan is being "marketed" as a country that is helping/winning the war on terror, how do you suggest Pakistan/Muslims precipitate peacemaking initiatives with the west?
Well, it really depends on what the govt wants. It has to figure out its priorities. Does it want another generation of Jihadis to keep up the pressure in Kashmir, does it want to continue to drown pak in violence, illitracy, hypocricy and every other negative fall out of such a policy. Or does the govt really want to tackle the scourge of extremism and terrorism?
If it does, then we have to stop feeding our people, especially the children this garbage. We have to stop this culture of Jihad and Shahadat. Ofcourse, these are concepts of Islam, but both of them have been changed into something very ugly in Pak. Lets start by controling the violence on television, we have to filter such nonsense from the airways. Second, we have to stop displaying this morbid military culture everywhere. No more missiles as art (only in pak could that be art), fewer kalashnikov totting security everywhere you look, a serious crack down on illegal weapons and not that ridiculous stage show they performed a few years back, and ofcourse a return to civilian rule (which is probably asking to much) so as to finally end this military controled society we find ourselves in..

Don't drag Bharat in this discussion. They are much more fanatic and thus stupid-er.

We stand to gain much more through peace... Look where Pakistan is today, are we in any position to boast?! We have to stop the chest thumping.

Islamically speaking, aren't we (Pakistan) suppose to conquer them (India) soon?

^Well your Army came into action over Kashmir in 1947-48, 1965 and 1999 and did pay a price.

It is true that India is paying a price for Kashmir, but that is what all big nations do. The price is growing smaller as a portion of India's budget. Indian troops kill 5-6 jihadis for every soldier lost.
What price did they pay? How much land did the Indians grab from Pakistan?

And if you seriously believe all this BS about your brave soldiers killing all these "terrorists" then you are as mad as the terrorists. Most of the victims have been innocents Kashmiris not guerillas.

hmmm...i dont think the kid LITERALLY meant that he would do that...i think he was jus tryna show the intensity of his patriotism by saying that he would even lay down his life for his country...that's the strength of the emotion he felt...

doesn't mean he's actually gona go n do suicide bombing

The display of missiles is ofcourse nothing nice. However in a country like Pakistan, where corrupt rulers come and go, it is but wise and commendable that such things are displayed. Nobody would have the guts to roll back our nuclear program. The people of Pakistan will remember everyday by seeing such monuments that they are a nuclear power. The day we forget about our power, we have India waiting on our next door ready to swallow us.

Here Indians sound and act like angels as if they are all about peace. They are the ones who started this race in the first place.

Anyway, Great is the nation of Pakistan, by the will of Allah, ready to defend itslef at any cost. and so it did over 50 years!

well said, i think our youth should have a sense of pride and to know that their generation should be able to defend the country like the generation before them made so they can have suhc a beautiful country. i for one was touched when that kid said that, i did watch this program, its not that his mind os corrupted but shows that he knows what he has inherited and he will do whatever he can to cherish and protect it!

as for the indiands here claiming that they are fighting terrorist or whatevr and are always provoked, do you not read your celecbreated newspapers and the statements your army gives, 2 0r 3 months ago cheif of army admitted they staged fake attacks on them selves to win medals, in the times of india!!!!!

Pride is one thing but this is different.
First of all, were not in a state of war, we are in a state of peace and reconcilation at this point... The so called enemy is not the same enemy he used to be... Can we afford anther generation weened on hate mongering? If we want to make peace with India, solve the many obstacles in our waym then we have to stop seeing them as the enemy.
Second, there are many other ways to show pride in your country.. I would have been touched if the kid had said comething like "I would educate myself, and then stay and help my country and its people instead of running of to some developed nation that pays more."
I have to admit though that the host asked him the question so it want the kids fault... The host should know beter, at that age, kids should be thinking about school, games, friends and other things that occupy the minds of ten year old, not this stuff about war, the enemy, and suicide bombs.
But this is the state of our country today... Everything revolves around death, guns, war, dirty politics and god knows what else. The whole country and all its people are engulfed in this militaristic mentality. There is no innocense left in Pakistan. The only place you might find some is in the children, and yet even they are forced to grow up and face the reality of our society.

Im sure he wont, but the fact that he was asked this question is my biggest problem with this. The fact that he knew enough about such things to say he would commit suicide is bad enough (at ten years old, I doubt Ii could have come up with something like that), but the host then had the rest of the kids applaud him, which further instilled this whole thing in his and all the rest of the childrens minds... Do we really want this from our kids?!?!? And then they wonder how our society can produce so many Jihadis and militants... Well, its starts here, at shows like this. Multiply this by the thousands of other such examples and you have an entire generation of disgruntled would be militants...
This is classic brainwashing of the worst kind.
