there were 2 men in the dessert.ones backpack was full & the other one’s was empty.the man with the full backpack died.

They both paradropped.
One mans parachute opened....so he didnt have a backpack, and was alive.
The other guys parachute didnt open. He died. Hence, the backpack still on him.
