Bragging about wealth and other stuff

haha. I don’t recall ever bragging about my designer outfits, great salary, hot spouse, being super smart or intelligent, and having a prestigious college degree.

:hmmm:

Re: Bragging about wealth and other stuff

I brag about my abilities to get things for MUCH CHEAPER than others. I don't see at all what's so fascinating about getting smtng for triple the amount of its actual price.

Re: Bragging about wealth and other stuff

^ I am guilty of that :teary2:

Re: Bragging about wealth and other stuff

you should hang around with me. lol, I am really lucky when it comes to getting things for cheap. My brothers call me a kanjoos..but I feel extremely guilty for wearing expensive clothes or buying expensive purses, shoes etc...not sure why.

Re: Bragging about wealth and other stuff

I'm kind of like that but with groceries....i know my neighborhood well by now so i know what stores have what and for what prices....i tell ya....knowledge is power :p

  1. I understand that you want them to feel ashamed. But maybe they’re feeling something far worse than shame: insecurity. And that too..on a frequent basis. Imagine the lack of inner peace. You might wish for some divine justice to teach them a humbling lesson…but ya never know…the inability to conquer their inner demons day in and day out…could be their hell.

  2. Then again it could very well be the second point that you’ve made. For example, I’ve seen it happen where someone misconstrues your sharing of joy/success as bragging. How do you differentiate between that and just being a shameless braggart? I guess you’d see a pattern of such behavior. Similarly, I’ve also seen a few people that very rarely make the effort to be happy for others…can’t say a kind/encouraging word..or even a simple congratulations.

I think we all can get caught up in criticizing others and it’s good to reflect upon your own behaviors sometimes to see if we’re not doing something wrong.

Anyhow…why take minutes off your already short life…by dwelling on people whose company you don’t find enjoyable…and who don’t give a rat’s a$$ about you? Make better use of your time…spend it on those that care about/appreciate you.

I’d rather earn 500$ in 2 minutes time that I’ll take to write the reply here. I dont want to honor this thread with my reply. Kahaan main eik education aur humble insan kahaan yee jahalat bhara thread… :snooty:

Re: Bragging about wealth and other stuff

I myself am a psych major, and with this it becomes very easy to read people. Ive learned from actual book materials and experience, ppl who tend to brag all the time really have a "complex" in side. If you look at it from my view, if you really have that much money you dont need to brag it is just known. When someone goes out of thier way to show off "oh look at this or i have this" they have some insecurities. WHY DO PPL CHOOSE TO BUT NAME BRAND STUFF WITH LABELS ON IT??? ever think of that? bc they want to make it known obviosly, but ppl who actually have money will not by a product with the label screaming out bc in upper class society that is tacky. You choose how to portray yourself and in the end of the day your only cheating yourself trying to convince yourself that your something your not.
