Then again some people ARE crazy. I remember mentioning what jewelery I wore on my wedding and someone accused me of bragging about wearing lots o ugly gold stuff..

Yes, it is very annoying when someone is constantly bragging about their life. I think most of the time people do it because they know that the person they are talking to doesn't have the same things as them. It may not be to make the other person feel bad, but it mostly to make themselves feel superior.

And at some level, the reason we might get annoyed, is because we want the same things they do. And we don't need to be constantly reminded that we don't have those things.

They sell the best dress pants ever for an economic price tag.

I don't shop at cache, that's for sure. Maybe on your salary, you can afford that.

at the end of the day, braggarts are always identified for what they are....and they're either hated or pitied. I usually pity them unless they're in my face and annoying the HECKout of me lol....its insane how SHTOOPID they are, that they dont realize how transparent they are!!!

I most admire those who have found that most treasued of things ... serenity ... in their lives. This isnt something you can learn at Harvard or Oxford. Its not something you can buy at Tiffany's or Sax. It costs nothing yet is the most priceless thing anyone can have for themselves. Sadly,its also very elusive.

Here’s what I think…When people brag about their money, looks etc they are actually drawing our attention to what is NOT there & they actually know this but think maybe others are blind…shallow people. :nahi:
As for those who actually have all this are more down to earth 'coz they don’t need to prove anything.

Just be who you are :phati: …why is there a need to prove anything to anyone???

:k: I have seen examples of this…‘Bus designer kapray pehn lo chahey suit karein ya nhi’ & by doing this they make a joke of themselves.

Spending money is not a big thing. Any jahil or a kid can go out & spend money…its the sense of spending it right.

Being proud of your accomplishments and happy you were able to do them is one thing.

However, looking down on others and telling them they could never even dream of doing the things you do or have...not nice.

Funnily enough, most of you folks who are complaining right now have bragged way too much on this forum about designer wear, good salaries, hot spouses, being super smart and intelligent, and having prestigious college degrees. I guess what goes around comes around.
