*First of all, all the male shmucks who will label me as a pretty-boy lover should first ask their sisters about their fondness for Brad Pitt; and then they should ask me. The reasons would, very obviously, be very different.
When I was a shmuck like most on Gupshup a while ago, and hadn't reached the extraordinary intellectual level that I have now, I would watch any movie recommended by the ordinary intellectually challenged fans. I regret doing that, since I couldn't develop any taste for movies whatsoever. I was an idiot until I listened to shmucks like you; one of the idiocies of that age was labelling Brad Pitt as an "untalented pretty boy who only gets movies because of his charming looks". I was wrong, on so many levels.
I finally started watching movies of class; movies with actual memorable material. Forrest Gump, Pulp Fiction, Saving Private Ryan, American Beauty; the list went on and on and on. And then I reached "Fight Club"; the best movie I have ever seen. To my shock, it had Brad Pitt in it. I decided to check out his filmography and observe more of his work; and it got me more confused than anything else. How could a supposed "pretty boy" like him play the maniac so well in "Twelve Monkeys"? How could this pretty boy play the raging killer in "Kalifornia" so well? How could he play the hillarious gypsy boxer in "Snatch" so well? And then I realized; this man has talent.
Brad Pitt could have so easily played the lead in so many shmucky romantic movies we have seen, but he never did. He keeps challenging himself by getting different roles in eventually the best movies; thus accounting for a very impressive filmography. He himself states; "I don't care about the question if I'm beautiful…all that hysteria about it gets on my nerves. What kind of an achievement is it, if someone looks good? None!" Those, are the words of a born actor, my friends.
I admit that he can be criticized on the basis of the shmucky movies he did earlier in his career; but in the mid-90's, he came through that patch extremely well. In short, he is one of the most underrated actors in Hollywood today; and that is merely on the basis of his looks. The superficial world, and it's superficial thinking, disgust me. However, I would expect a better view on him from some of the more intelligent posters on these forums. The Game would love to hear your opinion on his talent; and please, no "u pretty boy lova, u so gay, u lyke boyz hehhehe.....'' and all such cr*p. I think you realised he had talent after I pointed it out in the Salman Khan thread. No shame in that though, recognising a valid point is a virtue in itself

I did not create this thread to praise his looks for God's sake(Posters like Gamma and Spock are here to do such non-heterosexual stuff); I just wanted an opinion on his talent. Jerablade; Snatch was extremely funny. It consisted of intelligent humor that most of the shmucks here can't even comprehend.And yes, as I stated earlier, Fight Club is the best movie ever made in my opinion. Brad Pitt does have a chiseled body, but that doesn't stop him from getting diverse roles in most of his movies. The man keeps re-inventing himself; which is what The Game admires.
