Rehan (Reh-haan) - searched for the meaning and found 'Heaven's flower' - some sites state it means 'King'
Ismail - 'God will listen' (I just found this and think its beautiful!)

i love Ezaan too. don't know the meaning but it sounds beautiful.

I think Ezaan is the alternate pronunciation of the Arabic 'Ithan'---"call to prayer." In most pronunciations the various 'th' sound variations in Arabic get pronounced as a 'z'.
Living in the west, Ezaan would also be nice since it's somewhat close to Ethan---when gora folks have a corollary they can refer to they tend to be better at remembering/pronouncing desi and Muslim names.
Rayyid----is this perhaps an alternate form of the Arabic 'Raed' (raa-id)? If so, it means 'pioneer.' The female form is Raeda (raa-i-da.)

Thanks! It's hard to figure for me to figure out the origins without knowing the Arabic/Urdu script spelling since so many sounds ('ayns, variants of s, t, th, etc.) cannot be exactly translated into Roman script.

If it's a boy it will definitely be Miraz---hub's family thinks its old-fashioned but it's been my favorite boys' name since I read A Suitable Boy many, many years ago. : ) His middle name will either be his daddy's name---just cuz I looooooove him so much---or Rowan in recognition of my Scottish roots.
If it's a girl, it will be a Sonia Rose or a Zoya Noor.

I agree. A-din does sound much better. I-deen kinda sounds like medicine, hehe.
I think that in Turkish....the A sound can also represent the I sound. For example, in Turkish the name Aisha/Ayesha is pronounced I-shay.

Aiden is an irish name, I believe, and it is gaelic for "little fire". shame, that, or you could have changed the pronounciation to be that, sahar.
