May be b/c I know how to deal with whom with what kinda matters/situations. With mom yea I get bit careless but with my baba jaan.. I adore him 
But that doesn’t mean I don’t love them equally

My mom is the strict, discipliarian type…yet I was still able to talk to her about social issues… ie things going on at uni, friends, love life (or lack there of) …and with dad it was all about fun and games. He was the one that spoiled me with things…took my side or even got me out of trouble when my mom punished me 
Alhamdulillah I’m close to both but as someone mentioned above…in different ways.

^ Yea same here kinda…I fight more with my mom than with my Dad vesay 
. My Dad spoils me but I can talk to my mom about shopping vopping and stuff…whereas if I start talking with my Dad about that kinda stuff he gets annoyed and says "acha beta jao baair jaakey khailo!

except in this case…he will give u money and say…“jao shopping aur karo”

i dont talk about shopping at all…in fact i hate shopping…it’s such a chore for me

I have the same feelings about shopping ..
so yea we r normal:D
My mom n sis have to drag me to the mall when I go back home .. and I always end up coming back in a car in 10 minutes and sit there for 3-5 hrs alone listening all the CDs

I hate mall to my guts 
b/c my whole bookbag got stolen there once 2 days b4 final examz ..
Even for my shadi .. my mom will do all the shopping .. all I have to do is approve
