I guess it's about enjoying the present, without considering the future.

Lets be honest, there are a lot of people you can feel a connection to, but with whom you don't have the right kind of compatibility to set up a home and family together. It's not just about lust, I think. There are genuinely people who don't need a promise about the future to enjoy the present with someone.

But eventually, one or the other does begin thinking about the future, and things can get messy. But they'll get messy for one reason or another anyway.

i never had the intention of getting married to my husband when i first started dating him. i have been in 2 relationships before and marriage was not the goal of that either. i dont know why anyone would view dating as waste of time. haivng a relationship makes you feel complete, confident and occupied. most ppl don't date with the intention of marrying that person, it only comes up later on when you are sure thats the one you want to spend your life with.

^not necessarily a woman but a man feels more complete too with a partner. i always felt more complete when i was in a relationship rather than being single. it also makes u more confident knowing there is someone whos into you, taking you to places, complimenting and all that good stuff that we crave.

i dont know what ppl mean by committed. to me, committed does not mean you will marry that person. it simply means that you are in a relationship where you are exclusively dating that one person. thats what i meant by dating.
