You need to understand that Pakistanis don’t have an inherent love for Indian movies/dramas. It’s simply because Pakistan itself doesn’t produce enough quality entertainment that its citizens turn to the only other source of entertainment they can identify with (Hollywood movies are, for the most part, not going to sit hugely well with a largely English-illiterate rural population).
Back in the 70’s, 80’s and early 90’s when Lollywood was still producing half-decent movies, Bollywood movies weren’t nearly as popular as today, and Indian dramas were practically unheard of.
If Pakistan resumes its own productions, you can rest assured that Indian movies/dramas will once again be pushed to the background.
