First question is, do you support it? Do you think boycotting Indian media will help resolve anything?
Secondly, I recently came across this video on youtube where this very patriotic Pakistani RJ reacts strongly to a Bollywood song request. He seems to be accusing India of being the reason behind Pakistan’s current situation (in terms of terrorism).
My question is, should the entire Pakistani youth be thinking this way? Or is this a bit too extreme?
I dont boycott it, I just dont find it interesting or quality programming. some of it is just over the top, kawa challa hans ki chaal thing, some is too cheapskate stuff, but then it is exactly the same reason I dont waste my time on pakistani media either.
But how can we promote friendship between the two countries while, at the same time, we ban each other's media... I remember when the Mumbai bomb blasts happened in 2008, all Pakistanis were kicked out of their singing competitions on various tv channels... and a Pakistani comedian was also beaten up later on in Mumbai .... Can't really hold peace talks if we're so intolerant of each other...

Still those mentioned above are two different issues. :)
If it can help us save the ideological front of this war then I am all for it . Plus Pakistani people have very soft minds . They just follow every uttt pataang thing on media .
The so-called peace talks between India and Pakistan are not meant to promote friendship between the two countries, their purpose is to resolve any outstanding issues.
Why would Indian and Pakistani population want to come closer to each other if they have so much issues with their own people?

I agree.
I think Pakistani people should first stop getting impressed with Bollywood and start appreciating their talents. And also become more knowledgeable about true Islam instead of incorporating non Islamic culture and vlaues into their lives.
I already don't watch any Indian media, no movies, no tv channels and also now "almost" no songs. Sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan and on other hand having a fake love for peace between two countries is not going to work for any betterment.
You need to understand that Pakistanis don't have an inherent love for Indian movies/dramas. It's simply because Pakistan itself doesn't produce enough quality entertainment that its citizens turn to the only other source of entertainment they can identify with (Hollywood movies are, for the most part, not going to sit hugely well with a largely English-illiterate rural population).
Back in the 70's, 80's and early 90's when Lollywood was still producing half-decent movies, Bollywood movies weren't nearly as popular as today, and Indian dramas were practically unheard of.
If Pakistan resumes its own productions, you can rest assured that Indian movies/dramas will once again be pushed to the background.

well I am not 13 years old, though thanks for calling me on of new generation.. feeling young enough.
If you are asking for change. Change yourself rather than following same routines of enmity but covering it with the word peace.
Regarding enmity or world peace i say this much !!!
i wish to marry a pakistani women and settledown in pakistan !!! this is my dream currently ............. am i dreaming bad?
well i have nothing to do with all these issues infact i keep myself away frm this coz i knew one or other way dirty politics is involved frm both sides !! who really see what they benefited frm any issue !!!
There is no personal grudge in anyone but it needs to be clearly understood that India will never forget the dividion of subcontinent and despite claims of
people, India does not really wish for Pakistan to be a successfull state. History speaks of itself. Peace can only be maintained by deterrance techniques.
If India gets a chance, means or capability, it would not hesitate to swallow Pakistan.
Why do we not see a big war between these two countires despite so much emotional drama over many big disputed issues?
Answer: Both have nuclear capability. Simple. Peace through force or potential force/threat is the way to go.
Nothing to do with GEO goodie goodie commercials, media ban or not, or whatever.
