Why can’t Muslims just ignore Salman Rushdie. The guy is an idiot and his writing is definitely over-rated. Yet, so many people reacted, even violently, and what happened? His book went to #1, sold millions of copies everywhere thanks to all the attention he got in the media and he even made it into the Bridget Jones movie. 
Is the guy worth it? Nope … yet people continue to obsess about him, making him even more famous.

surprising isn’t it. muslims are #1 when it comes to ignoring other like palestinians, kashmiris, kosovo, bosnia, chechniya iraq, afghanistan etc and are now doing a heck of a job in ignoring iran. its amazing that this poor guy and danish cartoonist got picked on for no reason at all. they did a marvellous job and should be given keys of kaba and madina but instead all they got is slack and that too for nothing. muslims wake up and smell the thongs. :halo: leave rushdi alone and let him praise islam in peace and tranquility. :k:

Go ahead and give this sole idiot importance and help boost his book sales, giving him more spotlight in the media. :k: He’s already gotten loads of literary awards thanks to all the attention that he’s been given. Have you even bothered to read his work? It’s extremely over-rated … yet, thanks to the attention he got, he’s also received a lot of unwarranted credit. Who cares about that though, haina? Let’s just kill him instead cause that’s the Islamic way, right?

abt rushdie, well over rate / under rate / just fine is not my concern. his work is fine and no i never said anything abt killing him. i like his work. whether against islam or hinduism / christianity. he got those awards bcoz he deserve each and everyone of them. just bcoz u happens to be a muslim doesnot means that he / any1 else cannot criticize / redicule islam. afterall muslims are the representatives of islam and how successful r they in representing this so called religion of peace & tolerence?
