Re: Boycott U2

What I don't understand is how you can advocate murdering someone because they wrote something insulting. To think that gives you the right to kill someone is barbaric, society would crumble if that type of action were allowed.

Re: Boycott U2

Hahahahahaha.

Is it ok to love him if he grew a beard?

Re: Boycott U2

^ he already has one .....didnt help him

Re: Boycott U2

i also buy U2 purses :p

Re: Boycott U2

I personally don't advocate his '1mill$ head money' but the strength of message i.e. how dearly religious figures esp Prophet(s) and his family/companions are held by Muslims.

Re: Boycott U2

I'm constantly surprised by so called muslims who want to kill people because of their different opinions. These jacka$$ mullahs have nothing better to do than issue fatwas all day long. The fruitstand guy short changes them and they declare a fatwa for the fruit guy's head. Good grief.

Isn't one of the fundamental teachings of Islam that God judges everyone, WE have no business juding anyone? Has he physically assaulted anyone like Osama bin laden the god of many disbelievers? No, he wrote a book. And I have great respect for U2 for protecting the sanctity of life. Bono is protecting the human, not necessarily his ideas.

You trigger happy 'muslims' give all Muslims a bad name and then wonder why everybody hates them. Well, everybody hates you because you act like judge and jury everytime someone offends you and come out with a fatwa to kill kill kill...

Re: Boycott U2

I think a great number of people hold their own religious figures dear or for that matter their family but if someone insults either that does not mean you turn to violence in response. Responding with violence does not bring you, your family, or your religious figure(s) respect if anything it provokes more insulting reactions. It seems many in the Muslim world today believe that in order for others to respect their beliefs they have to respond in a violent manner when one does disrespects it, be it burning down a KFC or throwing out death threats while in reality this actually brings no respect rather it brings less.

Re: Boycott U2

Rushdie only used what passes as authentic Islamic literature..

if u want to kill anyone go after Bukhari and co. who passed on fairytales wholesale to y'all denigrating the prophet and our religion..

Rushdie and his ilk, just find inviting strawmen and use them in mediocre writings which aren't even worth the effort to boycott.

Re: Boycott U2

^^^ (UTD): I agree with you on that, violence doesn't bring the respect you demand, they could've opted more appropriate ways to dump that paper in trash.

Re: Boycott U2

this thread was about not supporting Bono as he helped rushdie not about discussing the punishment for apostasty

Re: Boycott U2

i shell issue a fatwa against you after i finish my drink

Re: Boycott U2

There are a lot of Rushdie supporters popping up now, apparently insecure people are desperate to be seen riding the wave of so called intellectualism.

Re: Boycott U2

No surprises you’re spouting such garbage here and not the religion forum.

Re: Boycott U2

Who cares about Rushdie? The more you consider him in determining your likes and dislikes and your behavior, the more importance you give to him.
