Boycott Israeli Products

Received this in e-mail (thanks to my fanatic cousin in the UK)

Introduction:

Most of the products have a barcode to identify them. Each barcode contains a lot of information such as the factory and also the country where it is produced.

Some examples :
383 EAN Slovenija
471 EAN Taiwan

Notice that these one have NOTHING to do with Israël.

The Targeted Subject :

A barcode starting with “729” indicates that this product is produced in Israël
729 Israeli Bar Code Association - EAN Israel

Don’t buy them if you want protest against the current aggression !!

Sometimes brands are misleading, a barcode never lies if it carries that 729 !!!

There is no such standard for barcode encoding which forces to have origin identity as mentioned in the post. The only standard which is used for retail point of sale is EAN/UPC code and its specification doesnt say any such thing as encoding the origin of the product.

In my opinion this is just a hoax or maybe just a chance that one found a product with "729..." as made in Israel otherwise atleast this argument is not supported/backed up by EAN/UPC standard.

Thanks PA,
thats a wonderful move towards good,
and we should boycott them as much as we can, just think before buying ,
'wether or not we can live without them ?; wether or not will we be dead if we don't buy them?',
I am sure that will help in avoiding the confusion or hesitation to buy or not!
