Speaking of Canadian Buffett, BNSF, owned by Berkshire, has been swamped with demand to ship oil from North Dakotas Bakken Shale region. It is faced with Boxcar shortage as it struggles to meet demand for shipping coal and crops.
Rumors are afloat that members of an online forum have spiked the demand on Boxcars, with the Boxcars futures market offering no relief.

Now, per the request of our silent viewership, at last count all of 80, here are some numbers.
BNSF pioneered crude transport by rail with its first long train, a rolling pipeline in 2009. In 2010 90,000 barrels per day were shipped from North Dakota. Last October it reached 800,000 barrels per day. (We digress here to opine Warren Buffett does have an edge over the Canadian Lady Buffett).
This has left utilities that need coal, American Crystal Sugar co that supplies 15% of US sugar and others high and dry. For example, the sh1t has hit the fan at Mosaic Co., a big Fertilizer maker, pun intended.
