Where are you ladies planning on getting the box with a slot that your guests will slip their money/check in at the wedding?
Re: Box for cash gifts
I've edited the title to more accurately reflect your question, and to avoid people going off topic.
Re: Box for cash gifts
Not really sure where you live, but this box (see picture) is from Michaels (the Craft Store), with a 40% (comes every week) or use their 50% (comes at least once a month), you can get a great deal on this. I’m not sure what the retail price is…
You can always find some on ebay (ie. wedding money box) or you can make them yourself:
Re: Box for cash gifts
I really want one but my fiance think tht it will look like a chanda (donation) box
Re: Box for cash gifts
you can put it at the bride's family's table or on a chair so it won't be seen, but be sure someone is always near the table so it doesnt get stolen and that way when the family is given the cards, they can go back to the table and put it in the box themselves. Otherwise you can do it the old fashioned way and make sure someone has a big enough purse and store it in there...

I agree with him!.... its better guests give the envelopes to parents or the couple themselves.
