Its good for Shoaib that he bowled fast but how does it help our team's overall bowling performance, I rather have a Chaminda Vaas who bowls 135 and constantly take wickets than have Shoaib who fails in crunch matches but bowls 161.3 deliveris every other match.

No. nehra consitantly bowled faster than Zaheer.
Zaheer is more accurate though and that is what matters

I dont think it makes a whole lot of difference. Just cause Nehra is bowling faster does not make him a better bowler then Srinath and Zaheer Khan. I mean Akram is not in this list and bowls at lively pace and to me is a better bowler then most of the quickies in this list.

I think the main point to be made is that there are 3 strike bowlers in the Indian pace attack -so if one loses l&L you can switch to the other and bring the 1st one back later. That makes all the difference in the first 15 overs.

I personally think fielding is going to make the difference in the finals.
