boutiques in karachi

girls anyone know any good boutiques in karachi from where i can ask some family member to get me some nice Shalwar suits?(aside from Generation, cynosure, options, tariq road stuff)
I’m heard there are some in defence but if someone from karachi knows an address i would really appreciate. I was getting my stuff from Nee Punhal but they closed down god knows why:crying:

help! my mom is visiting in a week!!!

Re: boutiques in karachi

and please dont say Maria B or Nadia Mistry collection either...i hate them

Re: boutiques in karachi

last year when i was in khi there was a nee punhal store on zamzama and i think its still there because my sister got some outfits from there. the old nee punhul store in clifton is gone. i don't know what other boutiques to suggest because they ones i went to you already mentioned except for lahore ke reet which is also on tariq road.

Re: boutiques in karachi

Try "Exclusive" ..i loooved the one on zamzama ..i got a looooooot of suits there..and my nani still goes there to get me sum too.

theres also Sundus (which is next to cynosure..again i think near zamzama)...do urself a favour...go up down the zamzama blvd..loads of boutiques...and ohhh btw....those boutiques have AMAZING sandals ...1000-2000 RS + ..i have at least 10 pairs from those boutiques...look out for PANACH (great store) and i think the other was STYLEWALK or sumthing like there....and for nice "khula kapra" ...theres also the boutique PERAHAN (i think thats how its spelt)

Re: boutiques in karachi

thanks guys!!!!! :)

Re: boutiques in karachi

shazi u sure theres a nee punhal in zamzama?? my mom told me it closed down??

Re: boutiques in karachi

like i said it was there last year and my sister also went there in january of this year since then we haven't been back to karachi so maybe it did close down. i know the one in clifton (behind the dunkin donuts) closed down but i'm not sure about the one on zamzama. i think it should still be open because i know nee punhul is trying to expand their business.

Re: boutiques in karachi

in islamabad that is, i love lal gharar in islamabad which is in JINAAH SUPER, Plus sobia's has improved a lot. if you know someone in isb you can ask them to check for you.

Re: boutiques in karachi

yeah mywish i like cynosure too....but nee punhal clothes were always so unique..!

Re: boutiques in karachi

There is this great boutique in Bahadurabad (sp?) where I got some really nice outfits from … I have the name at home, I will get it for you tonight. It is a bit pricey, but definitely worth it, especially if you can bargain with them.

Edit: Actually, someone mentioned it already in this thread. It is called, “Exclusive”. There are two branches, one in Clifton and one in Bahadurabad.

Re: boutiques in karachi

thanks mehnaz…my mom actually got here a while ago and she did get me stuff from ‘exclusive’ i esp loved one of them … usually their dresses are exquisite but not so creative…thats why i like nee punhal…their dresses were truly classy and stylish…even those with less embellishment on them. i remember going there once and i saw this beauuuuuuuutiful lehngha in beige surprisingly made of cotton and lace with only a hint of embroidery…it was so so so different and classy…

Re: boutiques in karachi

I always have an issue with the fitting of these clothes. I always need to get them altered anyway, so I can’t pick clothes that have embroidery in areas that would have to get alterations.

I like picking up those un-sewn ready-made joras that already have the kaam done on them, or already have the prints, etc done on them, and also the neck shape and sleeve shapes, etc, and then you can just get them cut and sewn together in your size proportions.

There was this one boutique we went to in The Forum, not too long ago. I can’t remember the name, but I believe they are on the first floor of the Forum, and they have the most beautiful garments.

Their name starts with a “T”.

I wish I knew the name off the top of my head.

If anyone goes to Karachi, please bring back a list of names of nice boutiques! :halo:

Bareeze, by the way, has excellent cloth, that already is so done up that you don’t need to get kaam done on it. They have a store in Clifton somewhere, although I don’t remember where.

Ashiana centre has some great kaam-pieces. You just provide the cloth early on to these guys and they will do the kaam for you. Its a bit annoying because they’ll tell you it will be ready by X date, and then its not. But if you hand them the cloth early in your trip, they should be ready by the end of the trip.

A lot of these Zamzama designers are WAY overpriced. I mean, I’m not going to spend a darn 600 dollars for a suit.

i agree wit you about zamzama i went to pakistan is past summer and the clothes were really expensive.. i wonder who/or what kind of people buy thoes clothes..i didnt get to go to ashiana centre.i wish i could have

i recently found this link

Best Clothing Stores & Designer Boutiques in Karachi at KarachiSnob.com

one of my friend bought a suit from funk asia n i really liked it though was expensive.

Re: boutiques in karachi

funk asia is really good very hip very up and about love teh clothes but tooooo overpriced :)

Re: boutiques in karachi

the trick my friend did with FnkAsia n other expensive placs is to just buy the shirt n then get it matched with ur own salwar n duppatta or wear it with pants.

Re: boutiques in karachi

i agree with u mabrook but to buy a hip shirt from fnk asia and i mena just teh kameez for 4500-6000 and then spend another 1000 on teh pant dupatta why not get a really nice embrioded outfit that goes together in that much
plus teh cloth they use is available easily in the market and the kameez cloth only costs around 600 rs
okay 1000 sticthing and the rest for emb tooo much :) i feel if the cloth is a lil exclusive not tooo common why not but if easily availble and that cheap too dil jalta hai
