Bouquets

Hey guys

So how many of you had bouquets/bridesmaid bouquet? and if you wore red and say champagne gold how did you coordinate the colors?

Re: Bouquets

anyone?? :(

Re: Bouquets

are you christian? cuz i've only seen bridesmaid in christian wedding... Not sure if muslims do that or not..

Re: Bouquets

I might be wrong but I don't think it is a Christian or Muslim thing. But it is a North American custom for the bride to have a bouquet. I have also seen it at Pakistani weddings and it all depends on you! What do you think of the idea, are you contemplating a bouquet? I personally do not want to hold a bouquet, I want my wedding to be a little more desi traditional but it is up to you. My cousin held a bouquet and even had a tossing of the bouquet since she was one of the first out of her friends to get married but she also had it for a lot of her gori friends who were there. She wanted to do something for them. It really depends on your own style Nids. I would post pictures but I don't think my cousin or friends would want me to of their weddings where they were holding the bouquet but I will try and find you some. Also for colour combinations I think a white bouquet would be nice!

Re: Bouquets

sara i know that holding a bouquet is north american custom and even i am planning to hold one .. I have no idea what my folks are gonna say about it :halo: but i was confused with the term bridemaid bouquet cuz thats something i never seen or heard in pakistani wedding..but heard in christian wedding…

if u are wearing red then combination of light pink and white rose would look great.
i have seen a wedding where the girl wore light pink n sea green dress on her wedding and all she had was a simple red bouquet and it looked amazing… so if u r wearing a dark color, pick light color rose to stand out else it will blend in…

Re: Bouquets

i had a bouquet and it was gorgeous!
i was wearing champagne with little hints of green, so my bouquet was made of white roses, green orchids, green hypericum berries, lily grass and wrapped in a collar of those big, flat green leaves- cant remember their name.
this was what it looked like-

my bridesmaids were in green saris so they had pale green and white roses in their bouquets also wrapped similarly. they had mini green dendrobium orchids, except my maid of honor, who had the larger green ones like mine.

this was theirs-

if you are wearing red, i’d suggest champagne roses- they’re a lovely soft tan/gold sort of colour and you can wrap the stem of the bouquet in red fabric. or you could do champagne and red roses.

Am gonna have a bouqet and a clutch!!!

Re: Bouquets

I'm debating on having both or just one. Thanks for the pix guys they helped! :D

Re: Bouquets

i didn't bother with a clutch- i had one but i forgot it at home!

Re: Bouquets

You could go for:

  • an orange arrangement:

  • an all white bouquet:

  • white alternating with red:

  • an alternative bouquet, like one that is all just green plants or crystal bouquets, which are amazingly beautiful.
