Bounipun by Zubair Kirmani

Zubair Kirmani is an up and coming designer from Kashmir, who’s been getting a lot of attention recently for his work. He tries to combine traditional Kashmiri craftsmanship with modern Western silhouettes to create chic, minimalist look. He’s been featured in Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire…and a whole slew of Indian magazines. Apparently, his clothes are going to be sold at Bloomingdales soon.

Bounipun is the Kashmiri word for Chinar leaf…which is supposed to be the inspiration for his designs.
