I used this belt by medela (can be found at babies 'r us) for the first 3 months post-baby and it helped.

No it’s not too late. Just get it ASAP and start wearing it. On the packet, it said it’s for C-Section support as well, and I didn’t even have a c-section but wore it anyway.

How are you feeling otherwise? You seem like you are doing great, mashallah. :flower1:

I was told by someone that I should start wearing spanx during my pregnancy and when I have the baby get something in my regular size... the spanx should be from my thighs all the way to my waist.... they said that this would help my body a lot now and later.... it would not put too much pressure on my lower back (pregnancy) and inshAllah when I am done the spanx will help the uterus and tummy to contract and achieve its natural shape.....

Now I just need to get my lazy bum to the store and buy me some of this....

Just a question, for those of you who lost weight after hte delivery...did you do push yourself to do exercise or u just did as much as you could? Did u diet or anything? how long after giving birth were you able to start a diet/exercise program?
How come some women just get bigger and bigger wtih each pregnancy?

^This initial 20lbs is probably all baby and fluids and some weight lost from nursing. I'll let you know about the last 15.

As for women getting bigger, you expand faster with each pregnancy, and some women do not lose the weight completely.

My bhabhi is super fast in getting back to her regular size (from what it seems anywayz). So in her case she has actually grown smaller in size for each pregnancy, quite impressive I must say.

She usually drinks this mixture of mint leaves, zeera, water + some i dont know of for abt 2 months after delivery. Its suppose to work as "cleaning" the system(?) and reduce pregnancy tummy

lol nj...i stop breastfeeding a year ago!!! i should probably ask my sisters to hand their babies over to me.

Sara to be honest, i never had the time to workout after the baby. You know how they say little ones sleep all day? Well mine didnt. I havent properly worked out or watched my diet yet and i am sure if i did, i would be back to my pre shadi weight but i just am too lazy and get bored easily with workouts ( what a pathetic excuse, yeah i know). For me breastfeeding has helped quite a bit Alhamd. Now i amnot sure whats gonna happen with the next babies.

I wore spanx under my weddinglehnga. Can I use the same spanx to help my body getting back in shape? When to start wearing it? I dont think it's a good idea starting wearing it before the delivery, but should I bring spanx with me to the hospital to wear it right after delivery?

OMG i am trying so so very hard to get back to my pre pregnancy weight. I was 107 pounds and gained a whopping 55 pounds at the time of my delivery. I had a c-section so was restricted from any kind of exercise for 6 weeks but it took me longer to recover. Now it has been 5 months and I have started exercising regularly. But with school and a new baby it gets tough. Cutting down on my eating habits has helped tremendously as well.
