bottle feeding and long flights

Just wanted to know what do u guys do on long flights? take couple of extra bottles with you or is there some way to wash bottles on board?

Re: bottle feeding and long flights

i would take extra bottles, i wont take chances.

Re: bottle feeding and long flights

I took extra bottles (9 to be exact..!!).I kept in mind the 13+ hours flight time and any unforeseen delays.
I did not use all of them but I was a lil too anxious about traveling with a 6 month old.

I wont say take nine, but to be be safe take enough to avoid any problems if you are not able to clean them well while in the plane.

Re: bottle feeding and long flights

we had 5 bottles with us. the airline staff were very helpful in regards to warming up the milk for him.
the playtex drop in bottles would probably be super helpful in this situation too since you'd just discard the used liner and wash out the nipple.

Re: bottle feeding and long flights

i had 3, when i was travelling with my 6 months old.

we only used 2. the airline provided baby food etc. but i was travelling from london to pakistan, so shorter flight then say from usa to pak etc.

Re: bottle feeding and long flights

I took my 3 month old to Pakistan from the us and had 4 bottles! I washed them after every use in their kitchen in the back...I took my detergent n bottle brush with me.the emirates staff was very cooperative and I had no problems washing them with the hot water ( they use the same water for tea)!!

I also took lots of ziplock bags to keep every bottle separate n sanitized!
