As most of u know i gave birth to my princess just over a month ago. I intended on breastfeeding and was planning on pumping too so i bought the tommee tippee closer to nature starter bottle set as it was on offer it included bottles sterilser warmer etc. unfortunatly i had lroblems with bab latching and only breastfed for. 2 weeks( i feel like the wrst mother for not feeding her breastmilk but i just couldnt see her cry for milk and just swtched to formula) in the frst 2 weeeks while i aas BF i was also gving her formula as she wasnt gettin enough on the breast. BF is another issue for another day
anyway my baby has alot of wind and is colocky so i decided to try the avent colic bottles she seems to be taking them well but to be honest i dont see a huge difference.
My issue is now im going to pakistan in a few weeks with my baby we are staying out there for quite a while i dont think u canget TT products out there but can get avent. Ovviously whchever i decide to go for i will take nipples from here and bottles but even if i need somethng extea out there atleast i can get avent.
If i go for avent il need to get a sterilzer and everythng ffor pak whereas i already have everythng for Tt
the thing with sterilizers is that the bottles are only sterile while the lid is closed after running it through once. the minute you open the lid, the bottles are no longer considered sterile. then again, you are going to pakistan and you might have to boil the water several times before boiling her bottles in it so its probably a good idea to take the sterilizer with you.
why don't you take your current tommee tippee set and just buy an adaptor to make sure it works with the electrical outlets there?
in terms of bottles, tommee tippee didn't work for my kid- using the playtex ventaire bottles is what cut back on his gas.
Mam bottles were wonderful in helping with gas issues with my girls. Take a sterilizer with you.. Boiling is good and I did it for weeks but gosh i wish i had just used the sterilizer. It makes life easier. I would keep my spare bottles in it and just run it once before feeding time again because the cycle is just a few mins.
Munchkin reusable microwave sterilizer bags were the perfect for my trip to Pakistan. I took it everywhere, and just had to run the microwave fir two mins to get the bottles sterilized.
I use tommee tip pee for my baby and I had tried pretty much all of them but alhamdulillah he wasn't gassy so I didn't have any problems.
Ps. Everything is available in Pakistan n I mean everything..I went to mothercare at mall of Lahore and it had pretty much everything that you see at babies r us.
