Botox

sorry if this thread has already been started somewhere, I did a search but couldnt find anything.

Has anyone every had botox? Im seriously considering it! I just developed this wrinkle in the middle of forehead, and it is very noticeable! and my wedding is 4 months away!!! I feel like crying!

Re: Botox

You can get temporary solutions to fix that. Don't get sucked into Botox. They will make you go back for further treatments.

Re: Botox

Im all for the latest fads, however i have never been tempted into botox, something about it that just puts me off

Re: Botox

i agree with Niki Baji. My only piece of advice is that if you do decide to get this done (even tho i do not think it is a good idea) - make sure you get it done at a dermatologists office by a dermatologist.

Seems like simple advice but you would be surprised by all hte strange places ppl are getting their injections from now a days.

I know a girl whose dentist gave her botox. That is just wrong...his speciality is teeth. But hte problem is that everyone that knows how to give an injection thinks they are qualified to do this even though botox is made of very potent chemicals and should only be handled by a specialist that has a vast amount of knowledge about it.

p.s.
also be careful - did u see a recent episode of Keeping up With The Kardashians??? Kim got botox and her face like bruised up and it looked like she got punched... she vowed never to do that again... until muchhhhhhhhh later.

Re: Botox

I’ve had botox and no i do not look startled like this: :fraudia:

Do you have a horizontal wrinkle across your forhead? Stop raising your eyebrows so much!!

Try a temporary filler like Tri-Aktiline…it’s a cream…there’s no need to reach for the botox at your age!!! :smilestar:

Re: Botox

thanks guys! yes, its a horizontal line right in the middle of my forehead. Where can I get Tri-Aktiline?

If I do opt for botox, I would for sure go to a dermatologist!

I know people try not to make too many expression with their face (no laughing, smiling, raising eyebrows), but Im generally a happy person, and laugh and smile, and make faces when I talk...it has come back and bit me in the butt!

Re: Botox

Botox makes a person look very waxy and plastic doll like.

I'd refrain...there are creams u can use...and just start anti-aging now...rather than getting started on botox!

it's unnecessary...be happy how u are and try to preserve that =)

also, it's not a one time deal.

talk to your derm and consider some other treatments..i know there are crazy amounts of peels and other things you can do to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

Not always... that is only the case if it's done in excess.

I know a couple of girls in their late 20's who've gotten Botox done, and they look fine. They look like their normal selves MINUS the wrinkles/lines.

@ SaimaB: I say, if you're really unhappy about the lines on your forehead then GO FOR IT. [Though, if the lines are barely visible then a few sessions of micro-dermabrasion might be a better alternative.]

Re: Botox

I guess I'm going to be the only one to admit to having had botox then. I love it. I don't have a plastic looking face (I hope!) and as long as you have it done by a professional with experience the results are very good.

Re: Botox

try it when ur 40....

i think aishwarya has done it..notice around her eyes

it doesnt look plastic if u get it done once:P

Re: Botox

Ash is starting to look worse from too much botox and/or fillers.. same with Caprice and Katie Price/Jordan nowadays..

For the odd wrinkle here or there or wanting to add a bit of volume to ur face I don't think injectables are generally a bad idea at all, ten years down the line it will be seen as 'normal' for the everyday person in the West to have it done imo :)

Re: Botox

ok, Im not going to lie, I made an appointment with a dermatologist for next week. Its just a consultation, so we will see what she recommends. Maybe a couple of peels will do the trick, or microdermabrasion.....or maybe the only remedy is Botox....I will keep you updated!

Re: Botox

Welcome to the botox club. :fraudia:

Re: Botox

Could I please correct you with regards to dentists. Yes dentists speciality are teeth but they experts of the head and neck area and are very well suited to giving botox
