Going from NYC, Boston won't seem all that attractive. At least to me it didn't when I went like 4 years ago for a day. Hope some Bostonians can show us the light.
I've heard good stuff about Cape Cod in terms of beaches and outdoor activities, and great restaurants.

LOL here us bostonians are planning a trip to NYC and you guys are coming over.. well, in Boston, Cambridge is a place for museums and art galleries and just to visit MIT, Harvard etc... Cape Cod is very close to Boston and an island closer to it is Martha's vineyard- a very beautiful place.

Boston downtown is probably the most beautiful and lively downtown in the nation. Do not drive, walk!. Take subways when u r tired. Visit Quincy market, walk next to charles river, visit newberry street for window shopping, backbay, south station, north station, many many historic buildings and yes the freedom trail. Science musuem is another place u might wanna visit. On the cambridge side, u can visit harvard and MIT museums. Malls are nice too.

what do u wnat to see in boston? Newbury st is nice for shopping and restaurants along w. Prudential Center. In Boston Common its a huge park u an take a swan boat ride, also visit the state house. On the waterfront u can take a boat ride in the harbor like the Spirit of Boston or something or visit the Aquarium...in Cambrigdge is the Galleria Mall which is huge and next to it the museum of science. what else did u want to do?

Galleria Mall is nice. I used to have lunch in that food court, 4 years in a row ... 4 years ago.

Cambridgeside Galleria is incredibly ghetto.
Shops@Prudential, Chestnut Hill Mall are much more upscale.

there is absolutely nothing to do in that town....u need to go to boston....emerald mall is just like any other mall in the world so nothing special. i mean natick or burlington is way better...but u gotta go to boston downtown if u wanna see anything good.
