Which one is better place to visit where both me and kids can enjoy.
Re: Boston Or Orlando
Certainly Orlando ... especially at this time
Re: Boston Or Orlando
do your kids prefer sunshine (Orlando) or not (Boston)?
Boston has it's charm but it's mostly a college town. If you want kiddo fun - try Boston in the sumemr time where you can enjo the beaches and the activites like whale watching of the coast.
Re: Boston Or Orlando
Orlando please..Take them to Disney World, they will love it!
Boston is too cold these days, we live here and refuse to go out let alone visit the place in winter.
Re: Boston Or Orlando
I am Bostonian, and would never say that Boston is not full of surprises. It all depends what your family is looking for. It is cold here these days, but still there are many places, like the children musuem, musuem of science and boston aquariam to see. All are great places of kids.
Musuem of science has Harry potter exhibit going on these days, which is displaying all the real costumes and stuff used in all of the movies of harry potter.
With Vermont and New Hampshire near by, you can enjoy excellent skiing oppurtunities.
But if you guys like to go to theme parks, then Boston isnt the place. Orlando would be better. But definitely, Boston/New England is more scenic than Orlando :)...
@Gemini, you are from Boston as well???/
Re: Boston Or Orlando
Ok yeh I live in Boston too and trust me I'd rather be in Orlando right now. It's too cold to even go out anywhere. Other than the Museums and the Aquariums there really isn't anything to do.
TAKE THEM TO DISNEY WORLD!
I havent gone there but I'm too confident to say it should be ORLANDO. Many many places for kids and family. You would certainly luv that.
Re: Boston Or Orlando
Orlando hands down....i've got nothing against Boston...but you just can't compete with Disney World!!!
Re: Boston Or Orlando
I should have mentioned but i would likely go in May

OK i guess that changes things. Boston has lovely weather in May. There is a lot to do here. Museums (my personal fav being the Children's Museum), six flags in NH, Canobie Lake Park, The Freedom Trail (which includes Faneuil Hall and the U.S.S. Constitution), a ride in the Duck Boats, a cruise in the Boston harbor or a picnic by the Charles.

now you are talking... :P.
how can you forget the exotic and most delicious desi food from Madina Market :)...btw, six flags is in Mass, but kind of far and its near CT, however Canobie is NH, just on the egde of MA and NH Canobie lake park is like 30 minutes drive from Boston.
Canobie lake is my favorite. and there is another one with the name Water Wizz in Cape cod.. these are all excellent family these parks.
Children musuem is excellent, along with Boston Duck tour which also takes a splash in the charles naddi (river).

Well, I am in for it, tell me whenever.... Btw, I am from Randolph, lil south of Boston, off 93 South and Route 24.
Lets get a head count of how many Bostonians are here, and do a meet..

I personally know the people who known Madina Market and not to be mean or anything but it's just disgusting. I heard they're opening a restaurant in Brighton, where the old cheema store used to be. Also, there's a new place called Lazeez in Watertown which is simply amazing!

If you can live with an uncomfortably high amount of relative humidity in May then definitely Orlando!!!!!
Whatever you decide Good Luck with the trip, and stay safe!!!!!

Madam, that was a sarcastic statement :)... I know how disgusting the place is, but apparently, there food is good for catering.
What Boston really lacks is a good Pakistani restaurant, or may be I am not aware of it. If there are any, then do update me.
About Lazeez, I request you to give us more information, thanks.
Its turning out that there are quite a many guppy around Boston area. As Chintu said, why not all of us meet some where, I offer my place for that. My wife and son would love that.
Re: Boston Or Orlando
Orlando is horribly hot and humid (i guess it is the humidity that makes the heat worst) in May, June, July but people still visit, keep themselves hydrated with $5.00 water bottles and have a good time.
