what do you think of those friends who only talk to you when they are either bored or have nothing else to do … so they talk to you otherwise they dont even know if you exist or not? … do you think they dont even care about you but just using you when they are bored n have no other option… are those people really your friends? … if they are your friends then they would talk to you because they like n enjoy talking to you not when they are bored? … what you guys think?

I think you answered it yourself. They couldn’t give two hoots about you. Ditch them. Your probably better off.
However, you must also consider whether they don’t talk to you a lot because they’re busy in their day to day lives. In the end, you know best. Go with your gut feeling.

Nope. Remove such acquaintances from your life.
However, your friends may just not have time to talk/communicate with you. But you’ve got to see the background behind the friendship to determine whether this is the actual reason or if they’re just bored and therefore communicate with you.

I don’t give people like this a second thought. Usually, i’m quick to cut people from my life (i know that’s bad but if heartache teaches you anything, it’s self preservation). So yea, if i get a similar feeling from someone in my friend circle; gone for life. Tata, no regrets.

I don’t mean to be rude but if you are not willing to give them a benefit of doubt that they may be busy and not have time to contact you, what kind of friend does that make you? Having expectations in friendship is pretty real but at the same time, be considerate. Also, if they contact you when bored, don’t you think that’s the same thing as enjoying talking to you. I’d say don’t overthink things like that.
