That’s a tough one really, I have never borrowed large amounts of money from anyone but my parents. I would only lend money to very close family, I had a bad experience about 8 years ago when I allowed a friend to get a laptop on credit in my name because her credit was poor, long story short I ended up making the payments and the friendship is over.

Lol, I must have the worst credit history in UK. I got my friends lines on O2, Orange and T-Mobile, all of them defaulted part way. I didn’t mind though since (a) they were all good friends and would have/have done the same for me, (b) I was never going to live in UK long term so maintaining a good credit history wasn’t a priority.

Although there were some people I lived with who damaged my rental house, screwed me out of my deposit, missed several rent payments that I had to make up, needless to say we’re not friends now.
